Hey everyone! My name’s Crystal, and I’m a Sophomore in Ms. España’s media studies class. I decided to focus my project on A Quiet Place Part II, which was directed by John Krasinski and shot by Polly Morgan. Krasinski is not only the director but also an actor and writer, and I think that’s what makes his work so personal and emotional. He really knows how to build tension without relying on loud action scenes, which I think is super impressive. Polly Morgan’s cinematography also plays a huge role. She uses natural light and tight shots that make you feel like you’re right there with the characters, holding your breath. I am 15 years old, and I’ve always been interested in how movies can make you feel things just through visuals and sound.
